Power tube recos for MCII

I've hated JJ E34Ls in every amp I've tried them in (Monomyth, Ground Zero, Marshall) and wondering if there is a good option out there to help out the mids and harshness of my MCII.

Always heard E34Ls were used due to being the only brand capable of withstanding the high plate voltage on Wizards, but I have to imagine there are some more boutique options capable that Rick just didn't want to use for mass production (cost/etc).

What else have people tried?

What speakers are you using with your Wizard? Rick favored greenbacks for the longest time as they really tame the brashness of his amps.

Mostly a Scumback M75 (so greenback) and a Celestion Alnico Cream. I do have a V30 I've tried with it, but I tend to not use that for the MCII (works with my MTL though).
