This has come up for sale local and I'm curious to know what the top price would be for it? The guy said it's in collectors condition. My first tube head was a marshall 2210 and although it was 35+ years ago I remember it to be one of the best sounding amplifiers I've owned over the years. Let me know what you think and thank you in advance.

Idk man. Not a huge fan of purpose built, 2 channel Marshall amps. I have one and it’s cool but not incredible. It’s not terrible either, just not what Marshall is built for I believe. Kind of like a Cadillac truck. Don’t let this one fool you unless he is having a fire sale. 1200 bucks would raise my eyebrow.
When you had your combo 35 years ago, did you have any reference to other amps? Or like me , did you have to like it because that’s what you had.

Mine was the 2210 which is the head version and a friend of mine had a dual rectifier which also sounded good to me but I liked the sound of the Marshall a lot better

I'd guess somewhere around $1200, no more than $1500. There is one on GC for $1600 and a couple of 4212s on Reverb for around the same. Without fees and hassle, shave some off that amount.

Personally, I like the channel-switching 800s. Not as pure Marshall as a Master Volume or Lead, but a great sound in its own right. For me, it's better than using an overdrive in front, but that's a matter of preference. If that's before 1987, the dirty channel will bleed into the clean channel, but that's not a big deal for me. From the skunkback T75s, I'd guess late '80s, though. I'd check the filter caps, too, as they'll probably need to be replaced at some point.
