@70 Mach 1 Given I'm a rather large endowed fella I've had to have Wilma re-sleeved half a dozen times. I always know when a re-sleeve is needed as her drip tray fills way too fast. Spillage on the carpet is a no no..................Plus, when I can't find my car keys she's in need again.

Under your 70 Mack 1 you'd use a drip tray as that 289 has had the fuck thrashed out of it I suspect. I know my 302 Windsor GT used to deliver with the pedal to the metal but NO driptray for my baby.

I had 2 Mach 1s. Neither had a 289. I had a Fairlane GT that had one. My Mach 1s had 351s. One was a Windsor and one was a Cleveland.

I liked them both. The Cleveland was faster in a quarter.

I also had an El Camino with a 302 ( destroked 327) that was pretty fast.

For tooling around town I'll take my 35th Ann. Mustang GT with a 4.6. It ate 5 point slows for lunch.

Then again my buddy had a '69 or '70 442 that was just stupid fast. 440 4 bolt main. That car would get scratch from 55 MPH.
