Quick PT100 prototype video

I don't want to come off as a basher....Not my intention but if I'm being honest...

I like where you guys are going with this amp but I don't think it's soup yet LMAO!!
Id really love to hear the final product because I'm pretty sure that it's going to KILL.

With that said, Id love to hear that amp though a 4x12 loaded with some h30's or greenbacks!


Hope I didn't sound harsh!(but then again I Don't like the Normal tones that most people dig so Maybe I shouldn't comment lol )

You metal freak FWIW, it seems like the Suhr amps are getting better since we tried them years ago at Steve's. This one looks like it's going to be a winner though.

I am truly anxious to hear what they come up with in the final product. I really did not like the ones that we tried but I truly feel that this one is going to change my mind Well to be honest I didn't like the Gian channel but the clean channel was stunning!
Sometimes I wonder if I come off as to harsh and if I should comment at all I really thought about deleting my comment but then I figured that we all hear everything differently and it's just my opinon (which seems to be going against the grain..so there ya have it!!)
I'm looking forward to hearing the final tweak and then ultimately trying it for myself!!

Why? I never bonded with any Suhr amp I owned, I just don't like the fuzzy gain and the PT100 sounds the same as my old OD100 that was modded for a more Marshall flavor and it was Steve's old amp. I never played a PT100 in person but many of the clips I've heard have the same characteristic. This is just gear, if people can't have their own opinion then why even have a forum, no? Many grown men have a very strong bond of love with their gear and take offense easily, I don't think Pete is like that and I'm sure as a professional he understands that not everyone in the world will like his signature amplifier. I would still like to try one and see if I could dial the fuzz out.

RE: opinions, no worries, of course everyone hears things different!

For me, I go for pretty old school straight up cranked Marshall distortion, I feel like I've played some of the best (maybe even THE best) old Marshalls out there, cranked the snot out of em, so I have that thing burned in my brain... I need that sound or at least as close to it as you can get on a versatile amp with master volumes, 2 or 3 channels etc. So that's what you'll get from me.

RE: gain on ch3- ch3 will basically be a duplicate of ch2, with it's own eq, and then you'll have a separate gain boost, switchable independently, that you can use on ch2 or ch3. Really versatile. You could set up each channel the same, but make one louder, for solos. Or set them up radically different. One dark, one cutting. Low gain, hi gain. Whatever. And then switch in the boost on either.

The amp will come stock with a simple 4 button footswitch- with an optional footswitch available that will allow you to store presets, so you could have the clean unboosted, clean boosted, ch2 unboosted, ch2 boosted, ch3 unboosted, etc etc whatever you want. Bright in/out, different feedback settings stored on each preset for varying sag/tightness. It'll be as simple or as complex as you make it.
