Hey Eric,
The Diavlo series had no CF positions. The other Randall's that I've designed that do have CF in them, the heaters are floating in a raised DC potential so it can use all the variations manufactured out of the Sovtek factory:-)
Cheers
Mike

Shock obviously the tone I'm getting is related to floating CF's. Jesus this sounds like dumble talking Mike!:)

Thanks for the layout info. I just got one of these and am dialing it in.

Is there a tube dedicated to the effects loop, or is it not a tube buffered effects loop?

Here ya go!

Facing the amp, left to right..V1 is OD stage 1 and 2, V2 is for the clean channel, V3 is OD stage 3 and 4. V4 is the PI.

I'm way to n00b to be argumentative, and maybe it's set up different (but I doubt it), just wanted to mention that when I had a tube die in the V2 position of my RD20 head I lost the gain channel but still had the clean channel. I've got my own thread where I'm trying things & sorting this all out for mine.

GJgo, I experienced the same thing when I was installing new tubes (RD20H). I tried removing tubes from different slots and clean channel will disappear if the right-hand side tube is removed. Gain channel disappeared when either the left or the middle tube was removed. I also noticed that there where markings on the PCB board for each preamp tube (T1, T2, T3). I'm not sure if those markings are directly related to V1, V2, V3. Anyway I noticed that the order wasn't T1, T2, T3 from left to right. I can't remember the exact order now, but I think it was T1, T3, T2. This would explain killertone's information.

That's good info, Hamsu. Question- when you removed V1 did you still have your clean channel? I always thought that V1 went everywhere but this would answer the question.

If I remember correctly, clean channel worked without V1 tube (far left).
