I favored the tripple rec. Vh4 would be a close second.
The 5150 was a little underwhelming to be honest.
Music sounds great. Nice work!
Thanks mate!
As a long time 5150 lover I'm suprised it didn't show as well in these clips too to be honest.
I may have dialed in the low end a little too much so that might be hurting its ability to sit in the mix.

There wasn’t a stinker in the bunch. I kind of liked the slightly less bottom heavy sound of the JMP1. Had a good balance. It struck me as a good tone to leave room for the bass guitar.
I actually think the JMP1 probably cuts through the mix the easiest out of all these.
I guess that's exactly what Marshalls are known for hey

Just to give further feedback I just listened with my monitors and reallllllly dig the triple rec and liked the JMP better than I remember with the monitors. For some reason I am still not gelling with the 5150.
Cheers again! The triple rec has a nice rawness to it. Some people like that and others like the more 'polished' sound that the VH4 brings.
The JMP1 seems to be the sleeping giant in these clips.
I didn't expect it to hold up to these 3 monster heads the way it has

they all sound really similar to me but id take the vh4. the recto seems to be lacking some nuts
Thanks for checking these out.
I would've liked to have boosted the recto too and try that.
Still sounds very good but it's missing some 'bite' that I tend to like.

Listening back again through different speakers.
I really like the chewing fat mids of the JMP-1 rig.
The VH4 is similar but drier sounding.
JMP-1 has something special in those mids. Fat and aggressive.
How did you record the rigs? Multiple takes? What cab?
Thanks a lot for all your feedback mate!
I didn't do anything funny with the clips haha

They're all named correctly.
The JMP1 may actually be a little more aggressive than the VH4 because of that mid and high end, something I really didn't expect!
The VH4 and JMP1 are the 2 I'm liking out of this test. Hard to pick one really!
I recorded using a Radial J48 DI. Split the signal so that the Thru ran to an amp for monitoring purposes and the other line recorded the dry DI signal straight into my DAW direct from the guitar.
Just recorded 1 take left and then recorded another take right.
Then sent the left DI track out of my interface into a Radial JCR Studio Reamper.
The Out of the Reamp box then fed to the input of the amp.
Then the amp's speaker out was sent to my Torpedo Live which then sent the signal back to the DAW (and recorded as a fresh new track).
The torpedo live is running an Ownhammer IR which is an old Marshall 4x12 with early nineties V30 speakers with an SM57 mic.
Then repeat the process for the DI track that was recorded to the right side.
