While the amp doesn't really satisfy me tonewise, the above is true. TriAmp is a very versatile amp.

for what it's worth, i've never found anything that thumps like a Herbert or a Triple recto! there's tighter amps around, but haven't found one with the thump factor? if you really want thump, this may be the way to go, and then tighten with a boost or something?

Triple Rec is nice, but it seems to not have enough meat in modern mode & vintage mode sounds kinda too vintage, but the power is there! If it weren't for the stupid higher mid saturation based preamp section it would be a monster. Another thing I've noticed is that it sounds really right to my ear only when it runs with a mesa rectro cabinet.
