Playing some metal. Not my best playing by any means, but gives you a good idea of how it sounds! I really like this amp, but it's TOO loud for home playing, even though it's 20w.
I never really dabbled in the small watt versions.
These amps sound better and better each time I hear them.
Only time I play is when my drummer comes over and its full band level.
Haha, thanks! You can see there the volume was barely on "1" (or 8 o'clock). It sounds super loud. I haven't been able to really crank it, especially living with roommates, but it *feels* louder than my Mesa Mark V:25.

If you ever get a chance you should crank it up thru a 4x12. I have a Pink Taco as well and let my guitar player use it at practice one night (I'm the drummer).. I was curious how it would sound since I usually play it at low volumes at home thru a 1x12 Bogner cube.
At 4 it sounded damn good but I kept asking him to push it.. went to 6 and it was amazing... pushed it 8 and thats where it actually started to sound even better and way heavier. Hard to describe but at volume at 8 it really does get heavier and more gainy tone, you will not need a boost pedal at all, ands its fricken loud as hell, plenty loud for a super cranked up rehearsal. The cab was a Mesa 4x12 slant cab...
I will see if I get a chance to crank it. I posted it on the classifieds to see if I can move it and go digital, but it's definitely a beast. I can tell that the more you push it the better it sounds. It's also super meaty.

I've been messing with digital latey too using via Scuffham Amps S-Gear, not bad. Apartment living and low volume recording are my only options unfortunately. I'm hoping that Friedman's DI box (called mic no more) will allow me to crank my amp up to get those tones in a virtual mic'd cab.
Man, I didn't expect to hear that coming from that thing. Sounds great!
I was at a Guitar Center about a year ago and all of the guys working there were ranting and raving about a Pink Taco they had in the store at one point. One guy said it was one of the best amps he ever heard.
Sounds killer! I have the Jet City predecessor of the Pink Taco (BE modded JCA20H), and I did some Killswitch Engage with mine a few months ago. Only boosted with a Maxon 0D-808 with gain at min. I think the speaker was a WGS Retro 30.
