I haven't done any business with Reverb for 3 months. A week ago, I received an email saying I'd be billed $26 for a "shipping label correction." The last transaction I did with them was on Feb 12 and they made me wait over 2 weeks to receive a payout for repair costs to my amplifier that was damaged -- according to them "damaged in transit" -- because they said they had to "make sure my account was clear or any charges or fees due."
Here we are over 2 1/2 months later and they charge my bank account $26. Well, I tried to give them a call but they removed all contact information on their website. You can no longer call their number, nor can you schedule a call with them as they started doing a little while back. I tried emailing them to dispute the charge, but the support@reverb.com is no longer accepting messages. They direct you to their customer support center website but the chat is gone, and they have removed links to the submission form for help requests. I've been looking on their help site which says at the bottom of their support articles is a link to submit a support ticket but there is no link. You have to go and dig it up inside their support articles. Then, all they provide is a form that forces you to choose categories and a tiny little description box to type the problem.
Basically, they took over 2 weeks to clear my account then came back over 2 1/2 months later and billed me $26. They operate on a monthly billing cycle, and my account was at $0 balance for 2 1/2 months before they suddenly put the charge on my account.
Not only are they fraudulently charging me, the fact that they're charging me $26 for a "shipping label correction" is outrageous! I can understand maybe a $2 or $3 charge since shipping rates change daily, but $26 damned dollars is ridiculous! I shipped the amp in early February. They cleared my account 3 weeks later in late February. The weight/dimensions were correct because tracking shows the weight of the package when it was scanned in and it matches with the weight entered on the label. In fact, the label was MORE than the actual weight.
Now the charge has gone through my bank and I have no other way to dispute except through my bank. I don't know if my bank can reverse the charge but Reverb.com is not allowing people to contact them to dispute anything. I advise you to check your Reverb accounts and keep an eye on them because it's outrageous that they can come back 3 months after clearing your account and charge you absurd fees for shipping label adjustments.
