The reality is that you'd be hard pressed to find even a handful of people doing that for CONUS shipping on any forum or auction site. Go look at 20 random listings and report back how many are even close to $300 for shipping an amp.VC4EverAgain":1bfpv8yp said:scottosan":1bfpv8yp said:No. Overcharging the buyer for shipping and circumventing Reverbs fee structure is enethical whether it double or triple the cost.VC4EverAgain":1bfpv8yp said:scottosan":1bfpv8yp said:VC4EverAgain":1bfpv8yp said:scottosan":1bfpv8yp said:Hypothetical, since it's the busiest shipping time of the year. Due to no fault of either the seller or buyer, the package is damaged during shipping. Is it reasonable for the seller to only be reimbursed from the shipper, only the sale price, which is disproportionately low, while the seller is getting $220 over what the rest of sane sellers are charging doe shipping?
Except you forget that he accepted the offer taking a hit of $500 off his original price. I fail to see how this guy is scamming.

$300 for shipping is a scam
“The maximum reimbursement will not exceed the value of the item's sale price on Reverb.”
So the OP offers 2500 + 300. Seller counters with 2600 + 200.
Didn’t the seller just do the OP a favor according this rule?
LMAO. So now we need to police the exact cost of shipping. Give me a break....Ever heard the term shipping and handling. It takes time and cost of material to pack an amp not just the cost of what the shipping company charges. If you don’t like it, move on.
This is beyond hilarious now.
It’s a Fortin amp. Maybe he feels it warrants better shipping material. Maybe he double boxes the amp so it’s bigger. Maybe he only ships with UPS. Someone else posted UPS was charging him $354 to ship. Maybe cost varies based on location. Not all amps cost $86 to ship for fuck sake.
