Reverb Shipping Scam?

Is it reasonable for the seller to only be reimbursed from the shipper, only the sale price, which is disproportionately low, while the seller is getting $220 over what the rest of sane sellers are charging doe shipping?

Except you forget that he accepted the offer taking a hit of $500 off his original price. I fail to see how this guy is scamming.

No. Overcharging the buyer for shipping and circumventing Reverbs fee structure is enethical whether it double or triple the cost.

Gear prices are considerably more volatile than shipping charges. And someone selling gear for triple what other people are selling for again is not reasonable or sustainable in any market

The scam wasn't the shipping fee. It was raising one and lowering the other in response to an offer to keep the total price the same. But good to know you're still hung up on it and letting it get to you. If I wanted to scam people, I'd list it for $1 + $2,699 shipping.
