Everything went well in Chicago although the weather was less than ideal. Chicago is a very cool city but too big for this country boy. The downtown is for rich people. I hit Rosa's lounge for the wednesday night blues jam and fulfilled my playing obligations to a satisfactory level. The bandleader was pleased so I was satisfied. Did almost everything I wanted to there but I wish I had had time to hit Kingston Mines and Buddy Guy's Legends.

I chose Rosa's over Buddy Guy's cause Buddy's is downtown, parking is like $65, and I figured most of the clientele would be tourists, as that is what downtown seems to attract. Not really my scene....

I just got back from AR/MS late sunday night. It was a good trip for me, my gigs went off without a hitch, although a couple things happened to a friend that were unfortunate and beyond his control. I feel bad for some BS that went on and was no fault of his. Idiots were held accountable. Helena and Clarksdale are such chill towns compared to Chicago. Nothing works right, nobody gives a crap, there is zero rush to do anything. Everything is dirty. Everything is cheaper though too. There are always deficiencies there. Bathrooms without soap or TP. Stores stocked with warm gatorades. If you wanted perfection you'd go crazy trying to exist there but if you are laid back it's a good time. Plus everything is cash and carry which is how I like to do business.
