Riot - Is it holding up?

The Tonefreak Severe seems similar also. I'm interested in both pedals. I think Mark did videos showing both and they both ripped. And that Pete Thorn demo clip is freakin awesome, but I think he was getting some of that gain from his amp.

thanks! No gain from the amp though, the amp was set real clean. This is how I think the Riot works best- into a totally clean or just starting to break up amp.

How would you compare it to the Tonefreak Severe?

What I was wondering too. I have a bunch of overdrives, so I want to add a pedal to my collection that just rips with high gain but feels like a heavy crunch/lead channel on an amp. Not the usual "flat" feeling of a cranked distortion pedal. The OCD feels pretty amp like, but I don't like it with high gain. After about noon it loses its magic IMO.

I'm pretty happy with the tones I'm getting with my current setup. I just want to get a "different" more aggressive tone to add as an alternative sound for recording. I'm thinking the Riot or something like it will do the trick.

I run the Riot into my '80 JMP100 clean and it brings the amp to "life" like a JCM800 on steriods. Turns it into a 2 channel amp. I am getting a MK 2.43 30db boost pedal next week and I am curious how that will affect both the Riot and JMP100.
