What would you deem an amp "service"?

I would say the job of a full service is for the amp to come off the bench a) sounding like-new circuit-wise (speaker wear or tube availability may make it sound not-new) and b) as reliable as is reasonably possible.

b) would require replacing tubes in some circumstances but a) would require NOT replacing them in others.
