Heaven and Hell is still one of my favorite hard rock albums......

+1 and huge bummer round here...we need a frowny face headbanging horn flashing emoticom, the other one doesn't seem right.

I saw Dio on the Heaven and Hell Tour in Hawaii at Aloha Stadium...was awesome...I'm pretty sure I still have the booklet I bought at the show...

I'm crushed, my favorite singer of all-time. I've spent some time with him over the years and he was always so good to me.

I watched him with Heaven and Hell a couple years ago with Megadeth. Some of the best sound I've ever heard out of a live performance.

R.I.P. Dio. The legend lives on:

Dio was my very first concert, what an awesome show. he became my favorite for years. so sad, RIP Ronnie you will surly be missed

This is a very sad day in the history of metal

We will miss you dearly

My prayers for his family.

One of the greatest vocalists of all time.............

RIP Ronnie, you made riding the bus great back in 1980 listening to an 8 track of Heaven and Hell.

:( RIP Dio. He was a huge influence for me and millions of others. The legend will live on!

Wow. Very sad. I was lucky enough to see Dio with Black Sabbath a couple of years ago. Also saw him many times back in the day, with Vivian.

Heaven and Hell is one of the best songs ever!!

RIP.......

RIP RJD. I feel very fortunate to have seen him live twice over the past few years with H&H.

RIP Ronnie.

I "discovered" Dio when I found a bunch of Elf LPs in the old "cut out bin" (anyone remember those?) which included, "Trying to Burn the Sun". IIRC, nearly the whole line-up of that album, minus the guitar player became Blackmore's Rainbow. I was diggin Blackmore in DP, then found Blackmore + Dio in Rainbow. Saw Ronnie with Rainbow a few times, then with Sabbath's H&H and MR tours, and solo... (one of those Black Sabbath, or both maybe, so long ago I forget?... was with Blue Oyster Cult, and nicknamed the "Black & Blue" Tour)... great memories, from what little I can recall as those were different times...

Dio will be missed.

Peace

I don't even know what to say... When I was a kid and the first Rainbow Album came out... When I heard Man On The Sliver Mountain, I said... WHO IS THAT!??!
That is the best singer I've ever heard!

30 years later I still think the same thing! HE WAS THE BEST HEAVY METAL SINGER THERE WAS!

The DIO Fronted SABBATH is My Favorite Band EVER!

I'm at such a loss... What else can you say... I'm Just Sick. I will miss him forever...

Rest In Peace Ronnie...

Died this morning of stomach cancer at the age of 67. RIP Ronnie...great man...a legend.

My all-time favorite singer. I can't count how many times his voice has given me chills or reduced me to tears. No one has ever come close to stirring up that much emotion in me with their voice. I hope that somehow he knows how much he'll be missed. God now has the SECOND biggest voice in Heaven. R.I.P. RJD. You rule. \m/ \m/
