No gotta press the red button. Most test around 60% good. low noise & good gain. 3 tested 70%+
The black slider button tests for grid leaks & shorts.
Most are Amperex Holland w/ Herleen codes. The 60% er's make good "pushin: tubes say V-2 and after. Way better than shit now.
I have a pair of matched Amperex ECC-83's coming this week [second pair] if USPS ever decides to drop them by.
11 days Priority mail is a disgrace.
Had 2 test 50% they went in trash. Hate to throw shit away but don't want to mix them with good tubes.
I got the 70% er's in V-1 thru V-4 in that DSL. If they all sound okay i'll sit on the NOS pair coming.

Ah those have a really nice sound. Remind me of a Mullard with a bit of its own thing going on. A nice warm midrange and clear sound. More too than a Mullard presents. Good selections!!

Nice stash! I wish I would have known about NOS tubes when they were dirt cheap, but I just didn't. I have an ok amount but nothing too crazy. I dig how you have little goodie bags like that lol I keep mine in their little individual boxes for the most part and then stacked up together within another small box the size of a small brief case. I call it my tube case. If that little box got stepped on and crushed..... Wave goodbye to at least a dozen RCA Blackplates, a number of Mullards, etc.

I have a couple red tips and green as well. I would like a little display case and collect various tube examples just for viewing. I love those little bits of glass. Something is just so intriguing about it all to me.

I have a giant box of power tubes in boxes & bags.
My wife tolerates my tube hounding but she loves to give me shit too. Good natured of course.
