I guess I don't spend enough time here to notice because I haven't seen anywhere near the level of toolery as HC used to have (haven't been there in quite some time).

Just my opinion, but I believe that Jim would come back if the mods were to become a little more active in removing the "Harmony Central" element that has become RT....

There are mods on RT? I have seen no evidence of this in the past few months.

Indeed, haven't seen many posts from Kage in a while
July 1st, then it dates back to late May
I'm sure Brad could find 2-3 more guys who would be happy to mod here

I can just drive to his house, get great deals on speakers AND play slot cars.

it does truly suck if someone made him that mad. Life is too short for bullshit. I just left a great paying job because the dude was a total ass, Myles Berman, dui defense attorney " firends dont let friends plead guilty" worst human being ive ever met. Couldnt stand hearing his voice one more day. Im struggling to make it but there comes a time where you just say screw it and remove yourself from anything that causes BS. I see so many lame threads here now. its that HCAF attitude slipping in here, IMO.

I think this is one of the niceties of RT. It's not as "policed" as other forums. I'll take this open style forum over a fascist/dictatorial forum ANY day.

Hang tight, this place, like any other, will go through its varied inceptions and evolutions.

Peace,
Mo

An obvious troll got under his skin, but don't you kind of expect that on the net?
Easier said that done I guess

Meh, the old I'm taking my ball and going home act? The Internet is full of a holes. He needs to get thicker skin if he can't take criticism. The guy is a successful businessman, he has to realize that not everyone is going to like your products. Besides, he has come off a bit pompous in the past when people didn't agree with him on other subjects. He needs to take it as well as he gives it IMO.

Brad has been though it here and does anyone remember Doug Roccaforte?

That poor guy got baited into words that will never get taken back.

But I do like Steve K's info on Jim got a Vette and will be crusin in his spare time.

I agree to a certain extent, but getting involved in those kinda threads and discussions in public is not what I would want if I was a business owner. I would let other people handle the customer service, and if I really had to do it myself, I'd try and solve problems in private. Customers are to be helped, haters are just gonna hate and there are plenty of forum members who will defend a brand without the owner needing to get involved.

Forums can be brutal on manufacturers, especially guys as passionate as Jim. Sad to see him go, love that guy. He's a good dude.

At this rate, RT subforums will be reduced to the Cameron and Friedman sections soon. Not really what made this site great to begin with. The whole cool aspect of this forum were the number of manufacturers actively posting on here. Who's left?....

* Bogner - No one from the company ever posts
* FJA Mods - Jerry bailed
* Carol-Ann - Alan rarely posts anymore
* Cameron - How many threads begging for a second run CCV update can this subforum take before it implodes unto itself?
* Friedman - As long as Brad's moving Friedman product through King Guitar, this subforum is likely to remain active
* Diezel - I've never been in there. I know it gets traffic though.
* Egnater - How many more customer complaints will Bruce deal with before he punches out for good?
* ENGL - No manufacturer representation
* ESP - No true manufacturer representation
* Fuchs - VERY low traffic
* Matrix - Now that the Kemper is powered and the Axe has serious competition, is Matrix still the "hot ticket" it was 12 months ago?
* Suhr - It would be great if John stayed active on here......
* Scumback - Jim has packed up shop and moved along already.
* Luxxtone - As long as Brad's moving Luxxtone product via his King Guitar customers, this subforum is likely to remain active
* Orange - Ghost town
* Two Notes - Let's hope they stick around......
* Wizard - Has Rick ever posted on RT? Does Steven come on here anymore?
* Voodoo - Trace will stick around until a marked exodus from RT is underway........

Point?.....The times - they are a changin'.

Peter is active in the Diezel forum, or used to be anyway
I don't see the point in having forums for rather large companies (Engl, Orange, ESP), unless they become the official forum, and that's something I would look into if I was in charge of a forum. The company doesn't have to manage the place, and the forum gets all the traffic; everybody wins.

He used to crack me up lol - where's he at these days anyways?lol

All i know is - these guys must not be hurtin for.business if they can just say "FU" to an entire website. I mean i know there are.others and this place doesn't have a TON of traffic, but quite a few people look at this board i'd think. I never had any interaction with the scumback guy. The price for his speakers alone is enough to scare me away from.them lol. I priced 2 of them and it was 400 dollars lol.....wow...

Ummm, you obviously have no idea WTF is going on here then. There's a reason why people are leaving, and let's just say it's not the user base....
