One thing I do recommend is Vivian's first album with the Riverdogs. Really in terms of technicality, fluidness...it's probably Viv's high water mark as an all around player. No it doesn't have that Gary Moore' ish fire of that Vivian displayed on the first Dio albums but there is really some fine playing.

The Riverdogs just released a new album called "California". It is available now and definitely worth checking out. Rob Lamothe, Nick Brophy and Marc D are all with Viv on that album

When I was a senior in high school (1986) my high school band recorded an instrumental version of "Don't Talk to Strangers" as the background music for a slide show that our church did. It wasn't meant to be sacreligious. It just was good and they wanted to use it. Had they known the lyrics to that one... probably not!

We also did a medley of Yngwie's "Black Star" and "Icarus Dream Suite" for a church talent show that same year. We were good kids who didn't drink or do drugs... but our selections for tunes to play at church were definitely questionable..
