#fbf #tbt Attending the Colbert Report about a year or so before his Late Show era. I was admittedly a bigger fan of that show as a viewer, but respect for what he achieved on the big network and last night’s final episode was a heckuva a way to go out, with a Beatle (Paul), an astrophysicist (Neil DT) and so much more.

Although there are “official” reasons (costs, budgets, ratings etc), I think we all know why this is happening and it’s not “woke” or any other stupid meaningless word to point it out (it was well put by Bruce “The Boss” on Thursday’s show). We’re in an era where certain giant corporations have been given permission to behave like bullies on a scale previously unforeseen (regrettably this seems to be affecting the musical instrument landscape as well, not going to name names.. ).

We all know about “class war,” but there is also classiness. Having friends who’ve worked on and been guests on Stephen’s shows, as well as seeing the talent that is backing team @colbert vs the opposition, it’s very, very clear that while this battle may have been lost, there is a very clear winner of the war of classiness.

I look forward to his next move

People from new zealand work on Colbert? Sounds like bullshit.

Love Testament and Alex's playing but I think he's feeling a little conflicted when he rewrote the lyrics to some of their classics:

Over the Big Beautiful Wall
C.O.T.L.G.B.T.+
First Jab is Deadly
Alone in the Dark Neighborhood
Apocalyptic BLM City
Foreign Inhabitants
The New Disorder
Into the Shit
Hypnosis gender
Disciples of the Non Binary Crotch
Inauguration Day of Wrecking

I am delusional according to you, but have made many friends here. You consider yourself sane, and have none. Maybe you are the delusional one. Or just a d-bag.
I consider both of you friends*. It may not be reciprocated but I can live with that.

I think you're weird as fuck Von, but I'd help you change that flat tire, Merle.

*obviously a different kind of friend than a meat space friend. An internet buddy.

About the time I think I'm going to get along with JD he goes back to hitting the laugh emoji on posts that were neither directed towards, critical of him, or particularly off base. Yes, sometimes I do prod at him with clown stuff I guess so it's turned into a spin cycle of pettiness I guess.

Friends might be a little stretch but I get it. As has been said, a friend will help you move but a real friend will help you move a body, lol...I don't have your phone number yet but for whatever reason your politics don't really bother me, nor do anyone else's but sometimes endless threads created intentionally try to agitate others on the forum become annoying so I jump into the fray. JD and Dan/Alpha Stryke for the most part but No Hassle and his insistence that every jew harbors some sort of inner evil was a little much and it was good he took a walk for a while.

I do appreciate your fine taste in blues as well as the modicum of respect you've shown for my orthodox beliefs and respecting my preference for thinking outside the box on a lot of things. I enjoy the company of chill, open minded souls who are not virulently anti-christ so it's good to know you.

As for being weird, well, I'm an entertainer, that's part of the job description.

You're absolutely right, "friend" isn't the right word. Neither is aquaintance, too impersonal.

I have maybe 3 friends who would literally help me hide a body (not that that will EVER happen of course). That sound like not too many but remember, we're talking serious down sides here. Hmm, maybe there's one or two others...lets' say 3 for sure, 5 for maybe.
