I've never liked Slayer...some of the worst guitar playing ever committed to tape, not to mention absolute garbage production. They suck, they've always sucked, and they'll continue to suck...talentless hacks.
I hung out with Tom once though and he's a cool dude
uhhh.. ok dude. Well, its your opinion of course, and the fact IS... that the group you say always and continues to suck... have etched their name in metal history and any band will agree that they are legendary in the genre.. As far as talent.. there is always someone better.. sure, but millions of people around the world just didnt go out since 83 and buy slayer merch for nothing...
Back in the day, when this genre was first being born.. Slayer stood their own and were in a class all by themselves.. and built a cult following.
Be nice to Slayer dude...

dave lombardo=super talented, diverse, defined a style and will most definitely survive and prosper.
kerry king- a pudgy bald one trick hack[if even that] who is extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time and sadly will also survive playing the same out of key solos and unsynchronized garbage picking that he has for the last 30 years
I loves me some heavy music, always have, and yea, everyone gets an opinion....But I saw Slayer on Mayhem this past summer (I'd never seen them live before, and never really enjoyed their music), and I thought it was terrible. It's like they tried to cover up the show by giving the audience a headache with over-the-top volume (did I mention they followed Motorhead, and Slayer was STILL too loud?) and constant strobes, including strobing the blinders, for 45 minutes.
I guess I just don't get Slayer.
