Too raspy and the low end is too boomy, even with the tight on when going for higher gain. Wonder what his pickups are like. Would be interesting to hear a generic JB, 59 and or Super Distortion. It still needs a boost IMO, so I’m left with…why?

Sounded better without the TS9 in front to me. That's a sound that'll cut right through a mix.

Sounds really muddy, in my opinion. $3,500 for that haha.

I wonder if the mods done are just implemented poorly, or if it’s that cab, because a stock 2203/2204 with an sd1 and nothing else sounds more punchy and clear than that.

The gut shots they posted in their “fly over” ads looked super messy. Lots of builders goofing on the “hand-wired” build quality.

Wow glad I'm not the only that thought that sounded like absolute shit. Ola usually does great demos but you can only work with what you got in front of you. Hard pass on this. Also, can anyone else here confirm the 2203X RI are also very hit or miss? I've played through a couple at guitar stores and it either sounded pretty damn good or like raspy shit.

My experience as well.

Pretty sad seeing Ola being positive about the amp, even calling it a JCM800 at its peak. I know he knows better but the dark side of the shill force is strong.
