So I finally played a Diezel today......

You're right about that man, my chops have been exposed a couple times lately I'd trade all my amps and guitars for a Roland cube, Squire and some chops

I think its all what someone is looking for tone wise and what they play.
I went thru alot of amps and for me personally the Diezel crushes them all that I have owned or played or heard.
Just my opinion and based on my trial and error.
The VH4S is a PERFECT amp. No fizzy here. Pure awesome gain with TONE!
My amp is the older version (2001)
It lives up to its expectations by far.

I am sure I will snag one of them one day.
So they dont overlap the VH4 in tone wise?

Nah.. VH4 is great.
Its actually tighter than the Herbert. IMO
But i like spongey!

Herbert and Einstein are Diezel's best I think. Channels 2 and 4 on the VH4 is bubblegum territory and 100% WORTHLESS. I fuck with my friend all the time about it..he spent $4k on 2 doorstop channels for no reason. I put my Einstein against his VH4s channel 1 and 3 and sit back and watch the look on his face. It's really sad and I feel bad for him but I warned him. I played the VH4 before any other Diezel and never got the big deal but channels 1 and 3 are killer. Then I tried the Einstein and walked out of the store after trying it for 2 months almost daily.

And yes they are over priced, the Herb is not worth $4k and the VH4 for the same is a joke. I paid $3300 for the Einstein, too much but I love the amp and couldn't get it cheaper. Besides I will never understand the mistery behind needing more than 2 channels. If you have the money then get your OWN custom made amp with 2 channels since it's all you'll ever need..anymore than that and you're playing with knobs instead of playing.

BUT, if you have the money and can afford it..you can buy a turd with a blonde wing and enjoy it if you want, if it's what you want get it.

I think for me....I can get any tone I want out of the VH4. I dont use the clean channel......but I never use it on ANY AMP. If I want some clean.....I roll the volume back on the guitar. Channel 2 3 and 4 are totally usable on this amp.
With minor gain adjustment I can get from AC/DC to Lamb of God. And it sounds GREAT on all settings.
Had alot of amps thru the years and this one suits me perfect. Thats what its about. If you like it.....get it and play it. If you dont like it....move on. Nobody cares one way or another.
