So now Trump is going to blockade the Strait of Hormuz...

It amazes me that we have so many military and foreign policy experts here.

And it surprises me how many of you dumbasses actually believe a complete and utter narcissistic ego maniac like Trump would allow Uncle Ben or anyone to be "In charge"
bro Rubio said day 1 you’re reacting to Israel 😂

AIPAC spends all that money because they are good guys and don’t expect anything in return

You know what's really embarrassing about this conflict? Iran has a 90 percent literacy rate while 50 per cent of the US reads at the 6th grade level or below. Iran sent Phds to the ceasefire talks. The US sent realtors.

That's a weird thing to focus on at a time like this.
Literacy of CDL truck drivers is at an all time low.
I'm sure your "statistics" are garbage.

You know what's even more embarrassing? Getting caught in another lie by using false equivalent statistics to push an anti-American agenda.

I'm not posting the charts and such because it'll clog the thread more that your TDS meme spamming. So I'll summarize...

While the numbers are correct as individual points they are in no way comparable to each other.

For Iran, the 90% (accurately 88.9%) encompasses all people with some form of literacy; termed absolute literate. This includes everyone from highly literate to functionally (but not totally) illiterate. The 11.1% left over are nonliterate; or absolute illiterate, not being able to read on any level.

The US statistic is 50% read below a 6th grade reading level which is low, but still considered functionally literate. Roughly 21% are considered functionally illiterate with 4% being nonliterate. On the opposite end 50% of Americans read at or above the average reading level.

So to compare apples to apples
And funnily enough I had to dig a bit to find more than the 90% absolute literacy rate for Iran; in some cases having to check it against raw population number statistics.

For US adults:
  • 96% are absolute literate
  • 50/50% average-above average and below average respectively
  • 21% are functionally illiterate
  • 4% are non literate/absolute illiterate

For Iranian adults:
  • 88.9% absolute literate
  • ?% average-above average and below average respectively - I was not able to find a statistic on the average literacy rate, but based on the other numbers the best case scenario would be 50% average-above average since 50% are considered functionally illiterate. In reality the number is likely much worse.
  • 50% are functionally illiterate
  • 11.1% are nonliterate/absolute illiterate

So when you break it down and make it comparable, Iranian literacy rates don't look so hot.

An interesting tidbit which I already sorta mentioned...
It was harder do find sources that broke Iranian literacy rates down past absolute literacy. In most cases the source material put a positive spin on any data or information given. I found minimal sources with a percentage given. In most cases numbers were listed by raw population; for example about 9 million adults being nonliterate (which equates to roughly 11%). That's an obvious attempt to attach positive spin and looks better than saying 11% of adults.

By contrast sources for US data broke numbers down and would highlight statistics that promoted a lower literacy rate of Americans. Sources would highlight the low and functionally illiterate numbers while not outright stating average and above average. Some sources did indicate average and above, but most would have to be inferred from the other numbers given. An obvious attempt to make things look worse than they are.

Have a look at you and some others on here for intelligence and comprehension levels...the prosecution rests its case.

You can be as a dumb as a door in this country but if you have money that's fully overlooked and everyone wants to hear from you because you've got something to say.

Yes, we have some very intelligent people but the masses are as dumb as a post and many of them are in positions of leadership and influence who well and truly shouldn't be.

I wonder where that crippled education came from... 🤔
Certainly not all those highly educated people with gender studies and underwater basket weaving degrees. And certainly not liberal politicians. We all know they're the cream of the crop.
All the religious homeschooling.
