So......shipping my Amp off to Mesa Boogie to get modded...

After tommorrow I start a 10 day vacation.
Perfect timing to mess with a new amp.
 
Well just did payment on it. Oct. 4th. :thumbsup:
I was out of the house when they called and said it was ready. Didnt have my credit card with me I wanted to pay with.
Dont get me wrong on this thread that I am trying spell out every little step.

But YES....I am spelling out every little steps with Dates.... Dollar Amounts.....etc :lol: :LOL:
just to help out anyone else that would like to do this and my journey of it.

Jut taking out any of the guess work or questions that I had myself when I wanted to get a Mark Modded.
Few guys here helped me alot with getting the ball rolling and just wanna do the same. :rock:
 
damn, you're making me wish i hadn't sold my Rev F blackface dual... couldn't jive with it stock, but i looking back i should have prob modded it.. oh well, can't live with regrets. congrats to you! seems like you are about to have yourself another keeper. looking forward to your review.

Watching/waiting as well. I love the markIII in stock form so I'm interested to see what the mod does to it. I really only wish it had the r2 mod when I had it, but went to dual rectos after that and could get the same or similar tone from Orange modern and a boost.
 
Got shipping confirmation from Mesa.
Amp is going to be delivered on the 12th. :thumbsup:
 
Just got email today from Boogie.
Just showing the breakdown of the work that was done.
Lots and lots of Caps replaced. ;)
Full quad of Mesa Power tubes for $100?? :rock:

Two years ago I sent in a red stripe I had to Boogie and It absolutely ripped when I got it back. I really regret selling it when I moved.

No doubt you'll enjoy yours when you get it back! :rock:
 
Can't wait. I am at the point where I pretty much have owned almost all the amps I drooled over thru the years. The ones I am getting now are keepers.

I'd probably have the amp right next to front door (still open), still sitting atop the torn apart boxes, box cutter on floor, popcorn everywhere, with cables running to it. You'll probably be busy for a while. :thumbsup:

What?!! You don't need no stinkin headshell..just put it on top of your cab and let it rip! That's what i did when I got my C+ back last year.. :lol: :LOL:
