I think it would be interesting to post a mid tempo standard drum beat, and then see what people would put over that. Rhythm and lead...

This is what happens when I spend about an hour screwing around with this.
I recorded 3 takes, 3 tracks, 3 different patch sounds in the AxeFx.

This was really hard, and I'm sure if i spend more time with it, can do better. I made some mistakes, just decided the hell with it, and left them in. I'm more a rhythm player than a lead, and this song is all about leads...so...don't be too harsh.

but my take, called "SorryThisSucksSoBad"

Don't worry dude, I suspect there are many participators that are "stuck". Putting one of Ed's vamps is not the choicest way to bring in the jam fun to the forum. :) However, it is a good thing to practice and grow from, IMO.

I messed with it last night, but didn't really get anywhere. I got up this morning and said "fuck it", hit record, punched in a few places and said "there!" I was going to post it, but then decided it sucked too much. :lol: :LOL:

So I'll see if tonight produces anything any better.

Well...it's just a matter of some one stepping up and getting the ball rolling.
Not sure why when it comes to just blowing over stuff "stuck" matters...it is what it is. We all have good, bad and indifferent moments...it's all about the ride and not the back patting.

I haven't listened to any of the other takes on this yet, but I saw "Kaleiwahea" had posted and I had to check out some Billy Bogner! Kick ass Mark! As always. And I think your tone is freaking GREAT. Can you give a run down of what you used?
