I just got a chance to crank it up loud through the 4x12 EVH cab. While I do not have any other 4x12 cabs to compare it to, I like what I am hearing. All this coming from a Mark series Boogie- EVM12L/MS-12 longtime player. Apples and Oranges, I guess.

Glad to hear you like it, I'm getting mine soon, couple days. If ups can get there train situation resolved, I just got a late train update on the tracking.. :gethim:

How was the clean by the way.

:D

Mine drops tomorrow. I gigged my 50 watt thru the EVH 4x12 last night and it was glorious on the blue channel. That red channel is too compressed though. If it was just a two channel amp and the blue channel had a solo boost function I think I'd be happier with it.

I like it fine. Now, FWIW, I am used to playing the Mark II series Boogie. If you don't know, those amps cascade the clean channel into the lead channel without independent gain controls (i.e. the clean channel ultimately controls the amount of gain that the lead channel can have.) You and the guitar volume knob can become good friends.

I guess I'll have to, we'll see.

Can't wait to get it, damn trains'!!!

This amp is a rock machine ! Been rocking it all morning and have not gotten off the blue channel yet. I decided to try boosting for giggles and I'll be damned if my YJM 308 pedal does not sound huge with the Stealth. My Xotic BB compressed the tones too much and I have yet to try my Analogman modded Ts9 because my Analogman modded and the Outlier modded JYM 308 is slaying.

I kept all the packing materials and did not unwrap the cables in case I decided to send this back. I will commence to burning the shipping box before lunchtime. This amp is a rock machine. My Splawn Nitro has not been getting any play for the last year and now its a no brainer that Im selling it.

My skirt is blown up and Im rocking out with my Stealthy Caulk out………eww….imagery….bad…..

The red channel is the red channel. Over the top and maybe too much but its about the same on the Stealth to my ears. Granted Ive played this amp less than 3 hours at this point.

Red channel low gain high volume=pretty cool. ( volume up to 10oclock, very loud)

I wish the clean did not break up so quick but if you set the gain real low its not a deal breaker. The blue channel is worth the price of admission alone. My only gripe is the clean channel not being fantastically clean but I did not buy this for the clean sound anyway.

This thing is so good that Im sure it's going to land in some amalgamation on the mass produced line eventually. Maybe with tweaks and a different name but I doubt the world only gets 300 of these or whatever number it is they produced.

+1000!
That's what the BF Fenders are for (a '65 BF SR and a '67 BR ProReverb are my keepers)

again agreed!
it's interesting my first 100S is serial numbered 144XX, and my second 100S is serial numbered 147XX - around 300 after the 1st 100S.
AND the date on the head is 12/21/13 whereas the first one is November 2013. it appears that there were heads made through the end of 2013.
if the serial numbers are indicative of the number heads manufactured, the 100S definitely is in the > 300 range rather than the "100 limited run" as noted by EVH Gear marketing.
That Channel 2 Blue is soooo good - it's gotta be in the works for mass production (as well as the ext. bias points and the resonance controls on back) :inlove: :inlove:

How are you setting the resonance control ? I have all three channels at noon- 1 oclock.

resonance settings: Ch1 Green - 10 o'clock, Ch2 Blue - 10 o'clock/10:30, Ch 3 Red - 11 o'clock

it's sooo brutal at settings past 2 o'clock.... :loco:

I'm so digging this amp. Gotta big show this weekend. My Ozzy tribute is opening for Dio Disciples in Houston and I'm definitely bringing the Stealth instead of my ivory 100 watt. I usually use the red channel for all my rhythm and lead work cause I use the blue for a mild overdriven crunch. But since we're doing a short opening set of nothing but full on hi gain stuff I'm thinking of cranking the gain on the blue channel and using it the whole time intsead. Decisions.

HOT DAMN! we've got "Diary of a Madman" and "Crazy Train" in our set list, and sometimes "I Speed at Night"...but nowhere near TRIBUTE levels.
:worship:

haha...me too...I brought out my Anderson DT7 and the Stealth for a cover gig over the weekend ....it was all disco/funk/Beatles/Adele/Pink stuff....but during the 3rd set....I jumped onto the BLUE Channel for "What About Love" and "Crazy Lil Thing Called Love" and the band pretty much shit their pants (or skirt) with all of the sizzzzzzle the Stealth had. Singer said she "dug" it.... ;)

Then this shall be my quest. The Blue channel on the Stealth is very easy. The Red and Green will take some work along with resonance settings to dial things in. I love a challenge, sometimes. :gethim:

The stealth seems like a Beast. Really really would love to check one out.
