I've been a huge fan since Beg to Differ ..... Tommy is easily one of my favorite guitar players
I've got to give this new stuff a serious listen ... I haven't liked the later stuff as mush as the earlier

Modern era Prong is very hit or miss. Power of the Damager was a killer album on par with the old stuff.

Tommy Victor had a quite an influence on my playing when I was very young...just so angular and dissonant...yet has rythm and a certan groove. And his tone sounded so cold and futuristic for that time...Amazing.

I'll have to give this a listen. I've been a Prong fan since high school. Cleansing was monstrous. I remember back in the late 90s, maybe early 2000s, Tommy was selling his Jackson RR Pro on Ebay. That was the guitar that he recorded Cleansing with according to the man himself. It didn't have a lot of bids, and it ended up selling for like $750 or something. I don't know why I didn't buy it at the time, but I obviously regretted it.

The Acoustic Niche Hypothesis proposes that animals in nature seek to find their own frequencies for their mating calls in a given ecosystem. Perhaps this isn't Prong hearing too much Slayer, but instead hearing the lack of Slayer in their given habitat. They are moving in to fill a missing niche in their environment.

I haven’t listened to Prong in decades. My band opened up for them in 93 or 94 ish. This sounds nothing like the Prong I remember.
I’ll be driving for 5 hours on Saturday. I think I’ll try to listen to their entire album catalog.

I went to go see them open up for Bad Brains .... Cleansing had just been released ........ what a friggin show ..
me and my buddy bought him a beer after his set .... he was just chilling at the bar .... chatted with him real quick for a bit . Super cool down to Earth dude
