Another thing you can try is get 2 larger screws and screw them into the back panel only at the top 2 corners. Best they be large enough to hold in secure enough but not too big to ream the hole. Pull on the screws to work the panel out. Don't yank on them though, you don't want to have them rip out by pulling too hard.

Once you get the back off before putting it back on staple a couple of pieces of ribbon to the inside near the edge. Use a staple gun. When you put the back on have the pieces of ribbon hang out. Now you'll have something to grab and get the back out the next time you want to take it off.
 
I've had to use a broomstick through the jackplate hole to leverage a cab open. I think it was my Splawn cab. Work smarter, not harder.
