So I have 2 4x12 cabs: a Bogner Ubercab with stock v30’s crossed with t75’s and a Kerry Wright with a cross of v30’s and h75’s. I believe the Kerry wright is meant to be in the style of the late 60’s Marshall 4x12’s and is rear loaded while the ubercab is frontloaded. What I hear when AB’ing them is the Kerry Wright sounds brighter, more cutting and open, while the Uber is darker, more compressed, less mids, but it also sounds way heavier, more brutal, deeper bottom end and feels better and more fluid for playing leads maybe since it’s more compressed and forgiving. They’re both similarly tight in the bottom end, but the Uber seems to sound more evil and metal, while the Kerry Wright sounds more vintage and rock. I know I also should consider that the KW’s speakers are brand new and need to be broken in, while the Uber’s speaker are well broken in. So, I’m gonna live with the KW’s current speakers for now, but I was wondering if you guys could recommend something for the future instead of the h75’s that would give it more bottom end and heaviness like the Uber cab, but I’d like it to still sound open and cutting like it does now. Do you guys think though that there’s just something inherent about the Ubercab that makes it sounds more heavy, modern and the KW more vintage, rock regardless of speakers? If so, I may prefer to just get speakers that make the KW the best rock type cab it can be and have my Uber be my cab for brutal metal. So far though, I still don’t think the H75 is for me though. It came with all heritage 65’s, which were too dark for me and a little nasally in the mids, but I remember it being a little beefier sounding. The KW still has a good amount of bottom end beefiness, don’t get me wrong, but not like the Ubercab

It’s interesting, when the KW had all 65’s it sounded way darker compared to the Ubercab, and the Uber actually sounded a bit harsh and fizzy in comparison, but now with its v30/h75 combo, it’s kinda the other way around, but I don’t find anything fizzy about it
