if i were in a gigging band, i'd get one. the FOH tones sounded phenomenal when i saw trivium a few weeks back. talked to triviums tech and he said the guys fucking LOVE them.

i'd love to have one...i like a lot of tones and tweaking sounds...but, at the end of the day, i really only use like 3 sounds...clean, rhythm and lead (wet or dry depending).

thanks for the heads up Jim, im out that way here and there, i might stop by and check that store out.

Yeah ask for Kevin. He is the only one that understands how it works

Chad do you think that i might get better results plugging it into the return of my FJA5150 and then into my Marshall 4x12???

I don't get why anyone would do this? At that point why not just use pedals with the FJA?
I love the feel of my Recto>4x12
But now it's profiled, so I go KPA>fx return of Recto>4x12
I think I could get that going on stage with Cab off and send a xlr (cab on)> house PA

You sacrifice the diversity, as everything sort of has that Recto flavor (which is what I like)
I enjoy having that 4x12 blowing at you

Not being a dick - but you take the Recto and Cab anyway, and now the Kemper and run it through the very amp you are using profiles of?

You forgot to read the part where now he can take an xlr(cab on) feed to FOH. Great idea for maximum versatility!

But you could take a Palmer PD09 that's as big as a pedal and do the same thing. I mean to each their own - it just seems strange to run profiles thru the very amp that has been profiled. I'm sure half the stuff I've done has made no sense to some people too.
Live I'm on the fence; if I want simple, I go OD>amp.
But if I want a bunch of different amp sounds with endless virtual pedals & fx pre & post, I can go KPA >fx return amp. I usually go with the Recto profiles, but sometimes like some Diezel ones. Cleans rule with a Fender profile.
Much easier & sounds better than a tone sucking pedalboard wired 4cm.
KPA di way better than a mic especially when the sound man beats your volume down to a whisper
