I know who he is. There's no way that you can remotely say that he's as well known for what he does as Tom Anderson is. I'm not discounting his expertise...merely pointing out that he and USACG may make a great product but he's still a relatively obscure reference in the overall scheme of things.

For those that do hear/feel a difference with Stainless and don't like it-

There's a Fretwire called EVO Gold which is halfway between Nickel and Stainless but wears very slowly, closer to Stainless according to most.

It's the stock Fretwire on the Les Paul Supreme- feels very close and sounds very close, (unplugged/plugged in) to polished Nickel IMO.

SS all the way. They'll last forever and always have the fresh polished fret feel. I don't notice any tonal difference between the two myself. The guys who work on them don't like them because they're a bit harder to work with. Also because you do it once and you are done with it.....you wont be taking it back for a fret level or fret replacement any time soon and that could be considered money outta their pockets
