Brought out my JVM for rehearsal last night. I still love this amp...bad-ass modern Marshall tone!

Well, from what I can hear in clips/demos, all sounds a bit toppy and not as punchy as it could.
My impression is that the switching features and versatile preamp tones make it a very interesting amp, but it could use a bit more iron for increased oomph and punch. It sounds to me as if it cuts well in the top end of the mid spectrum, but it's not really filling it up.
But maybe I should first TRY the amp, then maybe BUY one, and afterwards consider MODDING it![]()
