Still my favorite EVH Tone era....

Is it true they went back to studio to record some pieces of the right here right now live? I am wondering because there's a clear mistake on eruption and I am wondering if they let it there to sound more "organic"

The Right Here Right Now live album was Ed's best tone, yeah. It's kind of an insane thing because it's a live album, but yep.

It's really close though. As far as single tracks go, I have trouble putting anything above Eruption, but as entire albums go, while FUCK gets really close and maybe even better in spots, RHRN wins overall.

I have heard stories that the entire RHRN album was recorded at 5150. Just another album with some audience tracks thrown in and some studio trickery.

There is footage on YT of VH playing Dreams and Won’t Get Fooled Again the studio.

I know most people are into the early "brown sound" era of Edwards reign, but the Live Right Here Right Now era is where it is at for me. His tone was just huge. I'm thinking he was using the crunch channel on the 5150 for his rhythms, as there is plenty of gain, but it is not as saturated as the lead channel. But I could be totally off. At any rate... enjoy the king...

Michael Anthony's vocals were irreplaceable.........

They were never the same without him.

A lot of people didn't like it, but I loved Gary in VH. I didn't really care about the Roth vs. Hagar stuff growing up. I also loved Extreme too.
I liked it alot too
I like it all
