Your modern is very, very similar to mine boss! ;)

In fact I'm almost annoyed how similar that top is to mine! :D

Sure is a lot of gay looking guitars in this thread.

.....runs and plays my 3 Moderns.

Not my cup of tea according to these pics.

A lot of ugly guitars but the green and the custom carve top really stands out, in a bad way.

But I'm sure they all plays very well

To each their own. I wouldn't trade my Custom Carve Top for anything else.

May have to sell my JP6 BFR. Not digging the neck anymore. This thread isn't helping the gas either.

My modern satin

I may have to look into this one for myself. Awesome guitar!

Reminds me of my N4. Wonder if I could get it with a reversed headstock.
You know how much i like the N4s. IMO the Modern is wayyyyy better in everyway
If that is true I would truly be amazed. I have played many N4's and found the early Davies are a notch above anything after. I own 2 Davies and they are just perfect for me and my playing style. One spec on guitars that is rarely discussed is the distance from the body to the strings where your picking hand sits. I like very low action with a high string
/body height. More like a LP. I feel I can dig in much better. The N4 is the only super strat I have found that have this because of the SEC.

Not an N4 expert by any means. But I do own a swamp ash version and have played several Suhrs. Limited I know. Based on my N4 yeah the Suhrs are much nicer. If I play a few more N4s maybe I will change my opinion. I do think N4s are really fun to play

My JP6BFR was another nice guitar but again IMO my Suhr sounds better.

And the binding!

Haha. Is that a little switch next your volume knob? Your board looks like rosewood. Am I right?

Why build everything with a vintage tremelo or FR? John makes some real beauties, but damn, how about making a Modern, a little more modern?

Yup!
Even a tuneomatic option would be nice.

He does offer a hipshot hardtail bridge.
Really?!!
That's great , I had no idea...definitely makes another custom order more appealing now since the bridge was the main thing holding me back....and the wife, but doubt there's anything john can do about her
