May have to sell my JP6 BFR. Not digging the neck anymore. This thread isn't helping the gas either.

I bought a JPX thinking that I could replace my modern satin with it. after playing it for a few days, I ended up sending it back. something about the Suhr Modern Satin neck profile just blows me away every time.

Also, I've owned 3 N4's and(for me), the Suhr beats it in every way... tone, playability.

It's weird, sometimes I play a guitar and I'm blow away right off the bat. After time, that feeling goes away. I never had that "blown away" feeling with my modern satin. I just played it and played it and played it. Before I knew it, I had been playing for hours. Hours turned into days and then turned into weeks and months. The "ahhh ha" moment came when I realized that the modern satin is like a good old pair of jeans. As soon as I picked it up, it felt familiar and comfortable. Almost worn in, but in a good way.

The neck, to this day, remains one of the most comfortable I've ever played. The guitar sounds fantastic too... so versatile and well balanced.

Why build everything with a vintage tremelo or FR? John makes some real beauties, but damn, how about making a Modern, a little more modern?

The Moderns don't have vintage trems. They have 2 Point Gotoh 510s. Of course Floyds are an option and you can have a Hip Shot if you want.

Seems that all suhr guitars are mostly alder or mahogany?mine is basswood

great guitars, i had a neon drip and it sounded awesome and the quality was excellent, overall it was a great feeling and playing guitar but i got tired of the bright neon drip paint and i sold it. someday i will own another modern.

This is really sweet. I'd love a Suhr 7 in that color with a Hip Shot.

that white modern is sweet!!!

Sure is. I traded one of my Tom Anderson Drop Tops for it a few months ago with a member on here. I've been searching for a white one for some time and was going to custom order one. Since I didn't have to shell out any money for it I ended up placing an order for another TA Drop Top with Brad.

One of my modern’s... this one was made for the Suhr exhibition\party during NAMM 2014

Here's a photo of mine from the Suhr factory, their camera work is better than my iphone:

that's nice man!

They Suhr look sweet.......lol.......but I only like a Suhr with the reverse headstock & I don't like when the lower horn is so close to the neck.....my hand hits against it & feels trapped!

What does a suhr modern neck feel like? Is it flat and wider like an Ibanez or more of a compound radius charvel sorta deal?
