How soon are we talking Peter?
Anything spec'd out by you, is gonna be badass, and i'm going to have to pick one up!

I've been waiting to hear some news on the quality of the Rasmus line. I've been holding off on getting one until Peter's and Guthrie's sigs surface, and I wanted to know if they were going to turn out alright.

If it's anything close to the maple fretboard Suhr models you posted a long time ago (purple, aqua?, and some other color) then I'll be drooling !

My signature model Rasmus will be released this next Winter NAMM :D

I agree, played one at a Suhr dealer back to back with the higher end guitars, and holy crap - these things are killing for $1000!

The fact that you get the Plek'd setup, Suhr pickups, Gotoh hardware - these things play like a dream and sound awesome. The ones in stock were set up with extremely low action - I've never seen anything close to this at such a low price point before.

I made a thread about these guitars several months back and most ppl shit on it. But, I agree with those here that they seem to be a bargain to me. Regardless of them being made in China, they are so closely spec'ed to Suhr's normal Standard/Modern models that you're not losing much in translation. And, it's been well documented on how picky they have been with the first batch of these they've got from them. Only thing I would miss would be having stainless steel frets....even with that said, Suhr is using their same fretwire that they use for their Suhrs and they're even plek'd here by Suhr, with Suhr pickups and other hardware found on Suhrs. Not a bad deal at all, really.

Yeah, The guitar I played was all this for under a $1000 bucks not a bad deal at all.

these look awesome. hopefully pete's sig will be a mahogany body!!

I played a few, i think they're ok. I wouldn't throw the word incredible around though even with their price point. I guess i don't because i look at the fact that you can buy American guitars on the used market for around the same price. Or just spend another $500 and get a used Suhr Pro Series.

Pete has a sig model on the Rasmus line? It will be mine when it becomes available.

Pete make it PURPLE like your modern PLEASE!!!! Purple mahogany body with maple fretboard FTW!!!

I seem to remember that the Suhr guys aren't too fond of maple in the neck and mahogany in the body at the same time?

"Mahogany with Maple cap is going to have more mid-mids and focused punch. Basswood with Maple has more lows and more highs, making the combination sound a bit scooped compared to the Mahogany/Maple combo.

For a Mahogany body guitar, we recommend a Mahogany neck. John and I both feel that Mahogany body with a Maple neck isn't a particularly good marriage."
