Pete make it PURPLE like your modern PLEASE!!!! Purple mahogany body with maple fretboard FTW!!!

I seem to remember that the Suhr guys aren't too fond of maple in the neck and mahogany in the body at the same time?

"Mahogany with Maple cap is going to have more mid-mids and focused punch. Basswood with Maple has more lows and more highs, making the combination sound a bit scooped compared to the Mahogany/Maple combo.

For a Mahogany body guitar, we recommend a Mahogany neck. John and I both feel that Mahogany body with a Maple neck isn't a particularly good marriage."

After several months comparisons with alder/maple vs mahogany/maple, both live and recording I would have to say that I agree with John and Ed, the alder/maple combo suits my style and tone more so than mahogany. So for my signature model Suhr/Rasmus I'll be going with and alder body, maple neck and fret board combo.

how do these guitars compare to the charvel san dimas line production line ? i have been looking for a superstrat type guitar and was leaning towards the charvel pro-mods when i do get around to buying one, but seeing these makes me wonder if i should go this route ...

I'd be much more inclined if you could get one with a maple fret board...

The Peter Jospeh signature Rasmus model will have a maple neck and fret board. So you're in luck ;)

Funny thing but my friend has an Anderson Drop Top, Mahoganey body/maple top with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. I guess Tom Anderson didn't get the memo because it's without a doubt one of the best sounding superstrats I've heard for hard rock and metal. The thing just has this mid chunk to it. I've been trying to buy it for years but my friend won't sell it. COME ON IVAN, you don't play the damm thing!!

A few others here heard that guitar, Greazygeo used to own it. I had a Suhr Koa standard that got smoked by that Anderson. But as we all know, no 2 guitars really sound the same do they.

I wonder if we are going to see a SET NECK 25.5" scale in this line with a nice 'Hog body ..........?

It will sound really really good.

Maybe you could make a few suggestions, requests, or a Studio/Sig Model Set Neck H-S-H 'Hog w. special switches and a "blower " etc.?

I think Pete should do his sig, like his pirate guitar.... that thing is :inlove:

I still don't know what to do for paint... I'm so damn indecisive

I'm tellin ya, the pirate guitar, I'd buy that one for sure. ;)

Greg was it red? I think I saw it there. Did you try the Mesa Royal Atlantic 100?

I've had a bit of time to try the Rasmus M200 (Floyd Rose equipped Modern style guitar) and it's a fine machine regardless of where it's made or the price it sells for. The feel and tone is pretty freakin' close to the real deal Suhr. I'd prefer being able to get a maple fretboard, SS frets and Sperzels but for the price, beggars can't be choosers.

Awwwww, did I hurt your little feelings? I played a Suhr Modern before, no thanks. For 3k it didn't sound that great at all. You should give Cliff a buzz over at Fractal, I hear he has a Modern that he'd LOVE to get rid of. Wonder why?

Obviosuly Suhr has a bad reputation, and there are no players using them. We should just sell all of them.
