It's a taconite ore boat carrying loads off the range from the Hibbing-Eveleth areas of MN. There were many of them. I think the William Irwin is still parked in Duluth for tours. They hold a bluesfest down in that area every year though it used to be bigger. They even ran a haunted house out of the ship one year. The cargo holds are enormous, like peering into a bottomless pit.

Damnnn I had no clue they even had tours up that way.. Bluesfest, & haunted ship tour.. Last time I heard of anything like this was The Queen Mary events when I lived in Long Beach. That sounds like a great time!!! When we goin!?!?

And the quality and creative levels of their music is amazing considering how small and intertwined their musical community is.

I only go to MN for blues money and then depart, no other reasons. But the north shore is nice, just an adventure that is in the rear view for this guy.

Great song - haven’t heard that in a long time.

For me soothing pretty much = Neil Young because that’s what was fresh on the radio when I was little and attached to my then, young Mom who was listening to it all. I’d get tired of hearing him if I listened everyday, but Neil Young stuck with me from the days of Sonny and Cher, Captain and T’neal and Evil Knieval. I think today the only song I never tire of hearing from him is from 2020’s Mirrorball - great song.
