Okay, I gotta put my 2 cents back into this thread... The original post was, at least in my interpretation, about proper Fender Tele's. Proper Tele's do nothing for me - they're limited, crude, kinda ugly, and not at all refined. Furthermore, the radius of the fingerboard never felt good whenever I picked one up - in addition to the woodblock feel of it. Just way too primitive for my likes.
However, SINCE these words were typed, there's been a plethora of beautiful instruments displayed - Tom Andersons, Suhrs, Sadowsky, etc... These iterations of the original are, at least to me, VASTLY different in their level of refinement and more than likely, playability. So, I don't
really consider these sexy hype-up's as the same guitar I was posting my original opinions on. I am quite certain any number of these other iterations are waaaaaaaaaaay better than the original ape-age Tele I was thinking about initially.
So there, HAD to clear my side of the road
Peace Y'All,
V.
