I've never played an Orange but there is a Rockerverb 100 Mk1 for sale locally for a great price. I mainly play hard rock/metal and usually lean towards marshally tones. No local dealers so no where to try one out.

I've only played one for 20 minute or so but it had the best cleans out of any high gainer I have played.

The gain sounded very organic. It was a good amp just was not my flavor.

I've had a MKII for a couple months, the cleans are awesome. The gain can be a little fizzy through the Greenbacks in my Friedman cab but the V30's seem ok...I'm working on getting a matching Orange cab with all V-30's and I think I'll be happier with that. I've dialed back the gain and treble a bit and that helps. It tightens up and sounds better as the volume is increased. The Mailman mentioned being able to dial out the fizz on his MKII with the cabs he's using.

If you can get a good deal on on I'd recommend at least giving it a shot, you can probably flip it and at least break even if you don't like it.

Putting a clean boost in the loop of a RV makes it tighten up and everything sounds meaner. I love mine, they also can be fitted with all types of tubes. Built like a tank.
