To be clear, I do respect veterans as you know and I've thanked Dan in the past. But if someone constantly spams a guitar forum with, "Hey look at me, I'm a Veteran" - then that is stolen valor imo. Like I've said before, the Veteran friends that I have, I didn't even know they were Veterans. It only came about because I asked about their past etc. They didn't tell me that out of the gate and they certainly didn't bring it up all the time. Annoying.

That's fine. My grandfather was a cook in the Navy in WWII. At Thanksgiving, his favorite thing to eat was white bread with brown gravy.

Every single Veteran had a specific roll and and it all made the larger machine work well. But my Grandfather didn't tell tall tales about things he never did, or show us pics of jets he never flew.

My other Grandfather did fly bombers over the South Pacific.

I was there in 83. He should have rattled off the answers. Easy shit that anyone who was there would have known.

Then i asked him where the gig line is stored aboard ship. Where the mail watch stands on deck. How long before general quarters is secured.
