Master of Puppets will always be my favorite. It's been played to death at this point but when I was a 16 year old in the back of a friend's car in 86' in Germany and heard this for the first time, I was blown away.

Nobody was doing what they were back then and the weird stops during the riff and the speed was just insane for the 80s. The slow middle part just sounds amazing.

There is something about a laney. That fuzziness that represents black sabbath sound. Man. TAkes me back...well as far as I can go. Wasn't around for the originals, that was my dad's time. But he introduced me early in childhood to all his favorites

Blackened for me. The intro, the speed, the middle section, the solo, the lyrics. Yeah, it’s perfect. Even the hanging high feedback notes that sound like nuclear bomb alarms during the build up for the middle section gives me chills.
