I don't think Dimebag got the credit he deserved from normal ubergearsnobs like ourselves. I mean, he was #1 for the GC/peavey/mesa crew, but I am starting to think he could hang with just about anybody. Give him a somebody else's gear and somebody else's backing track, and he would sound just as good as Satch or Vai. IMO, of course.

of course...actually he was better than anyone else as a straight metal guitarst..but then he brought shades of Rhoads, Gibbons and Van halen all into the mix...probably the ultimate heavy metal guitarist
