It's obvious which is which. I could hear it 17.2 miles away.

Yes but you are only .2 miles away so it's throwing you off.

Not trying to complicate matters Bob, just stating the facts. :D

Facts or not, it's complicated. Don't play word games with me, Mr.

I think with some better impulses and a few more years, the Axe-Fx could replace an arsenal of tube amps at this rate.

The Word Games bug was fixed with release 10.1. Didn't you get the Memo?

LOL you guys crack me up.

In regards to the clip, I honestly had no idea which was which, but I can definitely say that I preferred the first clip. Glad to hear it was the Axe, very cool!

Oh man, are you guys gonna nail me for this....I can most certainly hear the difference between the two. The first one has a less meaty lows and low mids character, as well as a very slight, yet audible "haze" in the treble. Just listen to the one second @ :33-:34. Excellent body to that chord. Its just not there @ :08-:09! Thats what is always missing with modelers IME. Now these are very small differences and would NOT be evident in a proper mix IMO. The axe fx is MUCH closer than Line 6. All that being said I'm starting to GAS for an axe fx. I think the haze could be dialed all the way out with some tweaking in a DAW, possibly just tweaking in the unit itself. One million amps for $2000 is a helluva deal.

Half the guys say just the opposite. I just don't know who to believe anymore.

I say don't believe anyone, I don't really anymore. Everyone has different tastes, different ears, preconceptions, prejudices, and often times agendas when it comes to talking about almost ANYTHING music related. Some people have a single negative experience with a certain guitar or certain amp and that forms their opinion of the entire line. Others grow up seeing an idol playing a certain guitar and it gets ingrained, and now that person will more often than not be biased towards that particular instrument just like a favorite pair of pants. So trust your own ears, no one else can tell you what you're hearing.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, too late right?

But I don't like the tone of either the Ax or the Marsha on that clip. :aww:

Neither of them sound anywhere close to as good as my dumble sounds.

And your Dumble sounds no where near as good as Tag's. It doesn't have that stringiness and straining midrange.

Who's Tag ? I thought he only posted you know .... over there ?

LOL straining midrange. That'll give you treble hemorrhoids if you're not careful.
