The biggest mistake that this forum makes is allowing people to have multiple accounts (alts). This allows fools and trolls to run rampant and totally ruin ( imho) what could have been an awesome place.

Also agree with this and was another reason for leaving for a bit. I like the freedom of this place but the Alts need to be bitch slapped back down into the basement.
I'm as guilty as any other for just huring insults sometimes but it's not accomplishing anything.

I wasn't going to respond, because I have had it with this nonsense......(.and yes, I have been a party to it); but you seem like a decent person, I certainly respect your career.

I am not posting here (OTC) going forward.

I think allowing people to have many accounts/names/alts just promotes lunacy, chaos and animosity.

Also a week ban isn't much punishment. Some of the stuff that goes on should result in bigger or permanent penalty imho.

I get the free speech, like swearing and voicing an opinion, BUT there is a group of posters ( I don't know if it one or two people using multiple accounts or a handful of people) they gang up and attack anyone who presents a differing opinion. That isn't free speech, weather you agree with them or not.

Let's not pretend like it's just one group brother. I guarantee you are talking about a group that generally disagrees with you. It goes the other way as well. I don't get uptight when it happens to me. You need to relax man, it's only the internet.

Honestly I could care less about this section. I’m not on here much anyway… the whole site actually. You can ban someone and they can immediately reregister as they feel like it. Banning does nothing, temporarily or otherwise…. You can look right down the list of members and can pretty easily tell what I’m talking about. There’s no way to handle it and I don’t get paid enough to worry about it either…

I think it's time for me to back away from OTC for a while. Not that I won't keep up or comment when I want. They were entertaining for a short time, but the 3-4 dipshit trolls who's admitted main purpose of being here is to purposely stir up shit and antagonize people have gotten old. I'm over their attempted baiting of everyone to start an argument; like when they do their little powwow of [person] is just mad because [made up reason], they're [insert generic insult]. I have better things to do with my time than play their juvenile games, argue in circles, or even read through their drivel. We all see and know they're only doing it to satisfy their narcissistic need for attention and I'm not gonna feed that beast.

And watch, at least one of them will respond in what will amount to a failed attempt to draw back into their bullshit. Or at minimum pitch another bitch fit because someone's ignoring them. A day on the job in maintenance, a coworker was in an awkward position, grinding on a weld while squatting down and that large grinder right above his knee when he lost his grip and that 6" wheel was stopped by his knee. When he stood upright and bleeding profusely, we asked how he was: "i don't want to look, just call an ambulace". Many stitches in layers and off work for a week.
