That’s what she said

Seriously though, what do you think the left is trying to restrict? I get gun laws, but what after that?
I’m genuinely curious as I am admittedly more aware of what the right tries to take away

well you could do the research yourself, since you will likely disagree with what I have to say.

primarily:

forcing acceptance of behaviors, protections and privileges / hate speech over free speech.

free speech restrictions (using the above)

denying religious freedom (using the above)

Leftists are often opposed to Constitutional powers of the states / states rights, attempting to usurp states rights to the Federal government (10A)

Restricting the Constitutional powers of government provided by 4A to 8A.

legislating / totalitarianism from the judiciary that ignore the Constitution (thankfully still corrected by higher courts as unconstitutional)

we just had lefty appointed Supreme Court justice question the value of the 1st Amendment and being concerned about it restricting government. You can't make this up.

affirmative action and other unconstitutional privileges to certain groups (favoritism)

support for violent, destructive "mostly peaceful protests

Ignoring laws (e.g., Federal immigration law) they don't like instead of working to change them through Constitutional means.

You are figuring around “American freedom”. It’s not the freedom to do what you want anymore, it’s wanting the freedom to tell other people what to do.

Yep. Don't own guns, don't use a gas lawnmower or a gas vehicle, don't complain about men sharing a bathroom with your daughter, etc.

The areas where gas equipment is banned is pretty miniscule. I’ve had to do tons of research on it.
As is the bathroom thing. I am a man with young daughters and can’t think of a time I e had to worry about them in a restroom or finding one to use with them. It’s all blown out of proportion bullshit as usual

I don’t see any of those things restricting much. It’s all fear based propaganda and opinions formed upon it.

If you feel forced to accept anything that comes down to your own weak constitution and very clearly indicative of your refusal to see others as equals.

Interesting you bring up free speech too because I don’t see the left banning many books.

The left's current tirade against free speech can be traced back to the laws that precipitated Citizen's United. And there's more than one example of recent democrat politicians coming right out and saying the 1st amendment was a "Problem".

Of course you don't, which is why I usually don't bother trying to discuss anything in detail with you. It results in circular discussions that go nowhere. This is just another example of that.

Words and nuance are important. The left likes to say the right is against immigration, while ignoring that what the right is against is unfettered, unvetted, illegal migration / invasion.

You should consider going a bit deeper vs accepting what is said at face value.

The right is only "banning books" on subjects that are deemed inappropriate for children from school libraries.

There are plenty of videos where parents are reading from books from their kids' school libraries at school board meetings where they are being shutdown for "offensive speech" by the school boards. It's ok for these materials to be in children's school libraries, but not to read at school board meetings.

And it isn't about having a weak constitution and resisting accepting anything that comes down out of weakness, when it has the force and coercion of the state behind it. We're already seeing it in Germany, where you can be arrested for criticizing government officials, including elected officials, and in the UK where you can be arrested for subjective "hateful" posts on social media.

The left is all about that here; we've already seen how Twitter, Meta, and others collaborated with the government to deny American's free speech the government in power deemed "wrongspeech".

Not much more I will say on this, since you refuse to see it, recognize it, or admit it exists. Not my job to convince you; but I will say that by the time you realize it, it will be too late to do anything about it.

I dunno man. I just think you and I have different ideas of what it means to restrict rights.

You're moving the goalpost. again. But I'm not getting into another circular discussion with you and wasting everyone's time....you could do that with Couchboy if you want.

all fear based.
