Point 1: I disagree. Safety is a term which can be used for good or for ill.

Point 2: FUCK THAT. I'm in my 60's and neither I nor my parents never had to worry about me being gunned down at a public school and my grandkids don't deserve any less.
Part 2. Times have changed. People abandoned biblical morality in all their wisdom and now your grand kids can get shot at school. Solution, go back to biblical morality and/or homeschool your grand kids.

Nobody had a problem with trannies until they started forcing themselves on young children .

Horse shit :hys: You guys have been fighting against LGBTQXWGTHDYY+++++ rights for a long time.

When the left wants to take guns, the right starts posting videos of kids with AR15's
When the right wants to keep LGBTTERGERGEVQWEFEVEV from getting married, the left starts drag queen story time with kids.

You idiots just don't get it (When I say you idiots I'm talking about BOTH THE LEFT, and RIGHT)

YOU IDIOTS are just pushing each other to further, and further extremes. ?‍♂️

We're a secular Constitutional republic and my grandkids have the right to be safe. Period. I don't need to make a list of moral outrages that occurred in the mythical "biblical morality" times. History is clear on that.

It's a right you're inventing for yourseff. It's not enumerated in the constitution. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Safety isn't in there. Freedom entails risk, necessarily.

The statement "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" isn't IN the Constitution. It's in the Declaration of Independence. The phrase "promote the general welfare" IS in the Constitution. The general welfare of my grandkids isn't being promoted if some freak is trying to gun them down at school.

Oh please, religious leaders are teaching this to their flock, and it's total BS.

In the bible God killed every man, woman, child, and unborn child on earth (except a few on a boat) hows that for morality?

It could be also argued that closing public schools would be promoting the general welfare, since you yourself acknowledge they are centers of violence now, not learning. Safety isn't a right. It's just not.

So it's OK for my grandkids to be shot at school because freedom entails risk?
It could be reasonably expected that you may have to defend your person at some point in your life. I myself have been physically assaulted several times. Screaming "I have a right to safety" would not have helped my situation. A gun would've completely prevented the problem to begin with.

Ah, so because public schools are under threat they should be closed. That's one hell of a leap in logic.

Safety IS a right. That's why we have cops. I'll agree to disagree with you on the issue of safety.

REALLY? children, and unborn children deserved to be murdered by drowning? Sounds fucked.
According to the left unborn children aren't children, so your argument is going to lead to places you don't want to go. I have unfortunate news, the creator of all life can destroy all life anytime he likes. Your moral judgments don't hold any water because if he creates life, when he takes it, it can be restored again. So you are actually pre-judging God for the Genesis acccount.

It is, but if i may, he means according to the god in the bible it isn't and that's the final word on the matter,

Let's go because I'm not on any side.

You derive your morals from God right? Yet god can kill children at will, and you're cool with that?

Sorry Johnny. It's already been ruled by the Supreme Court. Cops have no obligation to protect you. NONE. Warren vs District of Columbia, Deshaney vs Winnebago county department of social services etc etc

Ok, but I'm taking a fifteen minute break first.

I derive my morals from the bible and the church which wrote the bible. Am I cool with God killing children at will? I dunno if I'd state it that way. I'd state that there was nothing I can do about it, so what God wills, will be. Many of his saints were martyred, he allowed that, so what makes anyone more special? You're using children to develop a more emotional argument.

No, it's a moral argument. It happens to be emotional because it involves KILLING CHILDREN.
