Yo Steve, You might maybe perhaps -- Wanna wait until you get your Friedman before diving into SLO#2 It has more depth-sweeter tone-better feel imo
I had an SLO and liked it but fwiw I did not feel it translated well while recording At the time I was using it -- there were Bogners and Marshalls around the studio that always seemed to record better -- I have not tried the Friedman in the studio yet but... I think I can tell it is gonna be fine - SLO is a cool amp for sure but that biting high mid makes it a deal breaker for --

Can't wait for you to get your Friedman and launch that SLO!! haha

Yeah, it isn't even here yet, and wasn't for sale until I had a chance to wank around with it a bit. Dave put me some extra fur in it too for the JC . I am leaving tomorrow night and won't be back for a month. So, it will wait until I get back.

Thats no fair haha -- If it is different players The amp will make less of a difference then the hands! And I do not think the SLO behaves like a Marshall at all.. but it is neat like a pod

I think Steve is best suited to determine as he has every amp! but as you know all of this stuff is better then it needs to be! seeing anvil play through 2 master Twins with a distortion pedal reminds me even though it sounded harsh -- it really doesn't matter beyond our shared fetish of sound.. Having said all too much can't wait to see what dude does when he gets the KS it is not as 'easy' to play as the SLO a bit more unruly but thats because the things can be damn near oscillating it is so resonant.. RAWK

I don't hear many good clips of the SLO which makes me think it needs more volume than what it's being recorded at.

Hey, you copied mine exactly!!!

You got yours from Lynn at Blues City, correct? I sent mine back to Soldano and now its an "Overdrive Only" with footswitchable master volumes. Mine also has a "detachable" power chord which makes it much easier to move around!
