Just to poke fun, amp costs, $1,299, suhr box costs $350. IR’s are probably another $25. So for $1,674 you get a nice little amp. Or you can just go out and buy an original JMP/JCM800 for less money and have arguably a better sound and better resale value. haha.

I totally understand, and this is just my personal experience...if I have that much to spend I'll contemplate these small heads, then I'll start looking at full size options, just because. I did that with the AX8...wanted to keep it, sounded great albeit for a modeler...then I saw a JMP 2204. Returned the AXE.

I completely get that. My response would simply be, to go buy a Jet City 20 watt amp and end it to one of a dozen modders that make them sound incredible for a total cost of $400-500 dollars. I get that people won’t want to do that and they are all about brand recognition, but me personally, I’m after tone.


I’d put my modded JCA20 up against any of the lunchbox amps out there and watch the other owners faces drop after they hear mine.
