.73 is my usual but I can tolerate up to .88
Anything thicker than that sounds and feels like ass to me

Sorry dudes, I think Zakk already used the entire world's 30 year allowance for pinch harmonics from about 1995 to 2010, then he kept going....

I used to sneak in pinch harmonics in our songs back when I had a band. The other members would get annoyed because it was not right for the context of our sound. Sometimes my parts were a little boring and the pinch harmonic made it more interesting.
Very much so. I found that Ultex really has a sharper attack even with the same thickness, compared to Tortex picks.this is a rabbit hole discussion. I choose picks based on their tone as well. There are huge differences
Right. I’ve found the moist crisp pick that will give sparkle to cleans is the utter jazz iii 2.0.Very much so. I found that Ultex really has a sharper attack even with the same thickness, compared to Tortex picks.
And for my steel string acoustic I go either really thin (like 0.4 or 0.5mm) if I need brightness and easy strumming and I go for a 2mm-3mm cow-horn pick if I need more body and roundness to the tone.
Except for the Dava ones, I've always resented the grey nylon Dunlop ones since my 1st year of playing guitar; they sound often crappy and they wear out in no-time.
